We have all the holiday-themed events and more for you to enjoy. The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture celebrates Kwanzaa during the center’s Wednesday Night Live series. In past years, this free event has included family-friendly activities such as a candle-making workshop, dance class and informational session on the history and traditions of Kwanzaa. Kick off Chanukah with the annual menorah lighting at Matthews Town Hall Library, presented by Chabad of Charlotte.

You can visit and tour the houses for free & it just costs $1/donation to vote for your favorite. We suggest visiting this on a weekday or purchasing an express pass on the weekend. However, once you are in, take your time. There are plenty of passing areas to stop and take photos. Winter Season isn’t typically known for sports, but don’t let that deter you from enjoying Basketball & Hockey!

That being said, try to go on a weekday and avoid opening & closing week. This gorgeous, sprawling display is returning to the Belmont garden. This year’s public viewing area is at Stumpy Creek Park (160 Stumpy Creek Road, Mooresville).
